Sea Isle City Fall Family Festival Weekend!
Each year, this market has nearly 400 vendors who sell a wide variety of items, including fishing gear, children's toys, fashion apparel, home furnishings and much more.
While shoppers are enjoying the seaside market, children will be captivated by the many free activities planned just for them. There will be a puppet show, face painting, a moon bounce, and plenty of fun with a clown and a stilt-walker who make creative balloon animals. There will also be pony rides for the youngsters, and young and old alike will enjoy the live music by Hawkins Road Band on Saturday.
By the time festival-goers work up an appetite at the market and the children's events, they will find a variety of delicacies available at a fabulous Food Court. Each year, Sea Isle's popular restaurants and food vendors make the food court a must-do -- and no one will want to miss out on all the wonderful items that will be offered (such as Busch's famous she-crab soup)!
Following the many activities on Saturday morning and afternoon, a Family Dance Contest will be held on Saturday night on the promenade at JFK Boulevard. During the contest, which begins at 7:00 PM, prizes will be awarded to the best dancers in five age groups, from tots to older "Rock and Rollers."
On Sunday the festival will continue with an Antique Auto Show from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the promenade. This popular display of classic vehicles never fails to please car-buffs of all ages and is again expected to attract nearly 100 entries.
Also starting at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Sand Pounders Professional Sand Sculptors will return to the JFK Boulevard Beach for another sand sculpting demonstration and clinic. The talent these artists bring to the beach is not to be missed, so arrive early and watch as they transform a pile of sand into an amazing work of art. Then, after a free sand sculpting clinic, everyone will get the chance to create a sculpture of their own, with the best creations receiving awards. Everyone is encouraged to bring along his or her favorite sand tools and join in the fun!
